We the Nuclear Free North has highlighted deficiencies in the Nuclear Waste Management Organization’s response to the Summary of Issues. Without explanation, many serious issues raised by Indigenous nations and the public have not been addressed. There is also overwhelming support for including the transportation of high-level nuclear waste for thousands of kilometres from interim storage sites to the proposed deep geological repository in the impact assessment.
