Legal Education and Engagement

Legal education services help people become more knowledgeable about environmental laws, understand and exercise their rights, and participate in environmental decision-making.

For example, CELA develops “Making the Links” toolkits for environmental action.

Activities:

  • Researching, writing, and publishing articles, reports, toolkits
  • Convening meetings and nurturing networks
  • Delivering workshops and presentations
  • Providing mentoring and training to the next generation of environmental justice leaders
  • Referring people and organizations to appropriate legal services providers
