Media Release

CELA’s Executive Director Theresa McClenaghan has co-authored a new publication, Ontario Water Law, with fellow environmental lawyer Julie Abouchar.

“This book is most timely. This is a valuable contribution and will assist lawyers, regulators and policy makers in protecting and managing one of our treasured resources – water.”

– from the foreword by The Honourable Justice O’Connor, Q.C.

Much Ontario water legislation was created and amended following the Walkerton Tragedy in 2000. Environmental lawyers Julie Abouchar and Theresa McClenaghan played critical roles during the Walkerton Inquiry. They bring the benefit of their expertise in Ontario Water Law.

This new 3-volume looseleaf supplemented book contains the provincial and federal water-related legislation, regulations and statutes, expertly annotated with cases from the courts and tribunals.
