Renee Griffin

Renee Griffin (President) is the Executive Director of Scarborough Community Legal Services, a community legal clinic, and practices primarily in the areas of human rights and housing law. Previously, Renee was the Executive Director of the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation, a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to preventing evictions and ending housing discrimination across Ontario.

She received her LL.B from the University of Ottawa in 2008 and her Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2004. Formerly, Renee articled at the Canadian Environmental Law Association before becoming a project lawyer with CELA where she coordinated the Environmental Health, Equity and the Law: Making the Links Project while working on a number of law reform initiatives including children’s health, increasing public participation and environmental safety.
