Presentation: Canada: Embracing its Rivers

In February 2021, the Innu Council of Ekuanitshit and the regional municipality of Minganie passed joint resolutions declaring that the Magpie River was a legal person subject to rights and obligations. With this as a starting point, CELA’s Executive Director provides a context for canadian watershed conservation and efforts to protect our rivers and ecosystems.
