Submission: Proposed Repeal of Secondary Lead Smelter Release Regulations Under CEPA

CELA recently submitted comments to the federal government in response to its proposal to repeal the Secondary Lead Smelter Release Regulations, SOR/91-155. The government should instead retain the existing regulations until new federal regulations can be established under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 that update the regulation of secondary lead smelter emissions in Canada.
