CELA Northern Services Presents: “Making the Links” in Northern Ontario

This webinar took place on August 10th, 2021.

On November 18, CELA released the “Making the Links” in Northern Ontario. This toolkit pairs urgent environment & health issues with the legal tools you need to advocate for change in your community.

“Making the Links” highlights the connections between environment, health and industry in Northern Ontario, and demonstrates how you can use the law to prevent harm to you, your community, and the environment.

We also:

• Highlight pressing issues facing Northern Ontario from forestry and aerial spraying to industry exemptions from air emission standards
• Discuss impacts on food sovereignty and treaty rights
• Present legal tools and opportunities for public engagement
