Canadian Environmental Law Association and other organizations are concerned about further delays in Hamilton in bringing forward an adequate temperature by-law. The motion to study a by-law was passed unanimously in 2023. Tenants have been put at risk for four summers since that time and are now being faced with further delay. CELA urges the Hamilton City Council to consider an adequate temperature by-law at its Council meeting next week and pass it without further delay.
