WHAT: A multi-partner press event to launch Radon Action Month in November. Representatives of the media are invited to Hagerman House Early Learning and Family Centre, a daycare that has accepted the national challenge to test all daycares for radon. Several organizations involved with the Take Action on Radon Campaign will be present for interviews. Protecting children from the long-term risk of lung cancer is a priority.

WHERE: Hagerman House Early Learning and Family Centre, 3990 14th Avenue in Markham, just north of Toronto.
It is located in a big yellow century home on the northwest corner of the intersection. WHEN: Tuesday, October 27, 2015. 9:45 am.

WHY: November is Radon Action Month. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. The goal of the national Take Action on Radon Campaign is to engage Canadians to test for Radon and fix their homes, daycares, schools and places of work if the level of Radon is high. Radon awareness is growing in Canada as the result of many partner organizations promoting the same message to Canadians. Please join us to help us spread this important message to all Canadians.
