Letter: Bill C-5 jeopardizes the health of children and other at-risk populations

The Canadian Partnership for Children’s Health and the Environment (CPCHE), of which CELA is a founding member, submitted a letter to the Prime Minister as well as a number of federal decision-makers expressing deep concern with Bill C-5, An Act to Enact the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act and the Building Canada Act. CPCHE, CELA and a number of signatories stated that, if not substantively revised, Bill C-5 will result in removal of safeguards that protect human health, environmental protections and Indigenous rights.

The letter is available on CPCHE’s website here.
