CELA makes the following recommendations on the proposed Provincial Planning Statement 2024. CELA recommends that the Growth Plan be maintained. The proposed PPS 2024 will encourage sprawl development and will not adequately protect wetlands.
CELA makes recommendations to significantly amend Bill 185, Schedule 12, which would remove long-standing public appeal rights on the adoption or amendment of Official Plans and Zoning By-Laws to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
