Oral Submission on Bill 23 – More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022

On November 9, 2022 CELA Executive Director, Theresa McClenaghan presented CELA’s oral submission to the Standing Committee on Heritage, Infrastructure and Cultural Policy on  Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022.

Four main areas of concern were addressed:

  1. The need for climate-safe communities;
  2. The need to preserve the essential roles of conservation authorities and upper tier municipalities in good planning and environmental protection;
  3. The need for robust citizen engagement;
  4. The  need for an affordable equitable quality housing supply.
