Pathway Out of Energy Poverty in Northern Ontario: An Assessment in Northern Ontario and Recommendations on Next Steps

The Low-Income Energy Network (LIEN) has published Pathway Out of Energy Poverty in Northern Ontario, a report  assessing energy affordability programs available to low-income people in Northern Ontario. The report concludes that there are significant gaps in protection for low-income people struggling to pay their utility bills.

The Low-Income Energy Network is the leading Ontario network advocating for a robust energy affordability strategy in Ontario. It is a joint program of the Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario and the Canadian Environmental Law Association.
