Access to affordable and safe housing is among the key challenges and social inequities revealed by the COVID pandemic. Calls for a just and green recovery need to include extending environmental protection to the indoor environment.

CELA's report contributed to the Canada-wide investigationĀ revealing dangerous levels of lead in our drinking water. The report makes multiple recommendations to protect Canadians, including asking the province to change legislation to require a minimum of 75% of municipal lead service lines to homes be replaced within 3-5 years.
