Letter of Support – Request for Impact Assessment for SMR Demonstration Project
CELA, together with Dr. M. V Ramana, at the University of British voice their support for the request from the Coalition for Responsible Energy Development in New Brunswick (CRED-NB) to designate the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) demonstration project in New Brunswick for an impact assessment.
Comments on NB Power’s Request for 25-Year Nuclear Operating Licence
The licence for a nuclear plant on the Bay of Fundy is set to expire and the operator, NB Power, is asking for an unprecedented 25-year licence renewal. The Coalition for Responsible Energy Development in New Brunswick (CRED-NB) and CELA submitted a joint intervention to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission opposing the licence request.The hearing will occur on May 11 and 12, 2022 and the public is invited to watch.
